Program Director
Khurshid Ghani, MD, MS

Dr. Ghani is a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan. He is a fellowship-trained robotic surgeon and endourologist. In 2014 Dr. Ghani was selected for the University of Michigan Patient Safety and Quality Leadership (PASQUAL) Scholars Program. As Program Director of MUSIC, Dr. Ghani plays a leadership role in all aspects of the collaborative’s operations and quality improvement activities.

Susan M. Linsell, MHSA

Susan Linsell is the MUSIC Administrative Officer with a background in Industrial Engineering and Health Services Administration, and is Lean Six Sigma Black Belt certified. She plans and directs the administrative, operational, and strategic aspects of the collaborative. She also serves as the Innovation Lead for MUSIC.

James E. Montie, MD
Dr. Montie is a former Professor and Chair of the Department of Urology at the University of Michigan. He is an internationally-recognized authority in the field of urological oncology and also one of the pioneers of urological health services research. As a Strategy Advisor for MUSIC, Dr. Montie provides significant input, guidance and direction on the strategic vision of the collaborative.

David C. Miller, MD, MPH

Dr. Miller is a Professor of Urology at the University of Michigan and formerly served as the Program Director for MUSIC. He now serves as a Strategy Advisor for MUSIC, providing significant input, guidance and direction on the strategic vision of the collaborative.

Prostate Program Director
Tudor Borza, MD, MS

Tudor Borza, MD, MS is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Urology at the University of Michigan. He completed his residency training at the Harvard Program in Urology. He obtained a Master’s Degree in Healthcare Research and completed fellowships in Health Services Research and Urologic Oncology at the University of Michigan. Dr. Borza plays a critical role in leading the collaborative to improve the care of prostate cancer patients. He serves as the Director of Opioid Stewardship for the Surgical Collaborative of Wisconsin and is a member of the Michigan Opioid Prescribing Engagement Network (OPEN).

Kevin Ginsburg, MD, MS

Dr. Ginsburg is an Assistant Professor of Urology at Wayne State University. He is a fellowship trained urologic oncologist with interests in studying variation in practice patterns for men on active surveillance for prostate cancer and how this correlates to clinical and oncological outcomes. As a Prostate Programs Co-Director, he provides physician leadership and expertise for the prostate QI projects.

ROCKS Program Director
Casey Dauw, MD

Dr. Dauw is an Associate Professor of Urology at the Michigan Medicine. He is a fellowship trained endourologist with clinical interests focused on kidney stone disease and benign prostatic hyperplasia (BPH). As the MUSIC ROCKS Program Director, Dr. Dauw plays a vital role in leading the collaborative to improve the quality of care for kidney stone patients with a specific focus on avoiding modifiable Emergency Department visits following ureteroscopy (URS) and shockwave lithotripsy (SWL).

KIDNEY Program Director
Brian Lane, MD, PhD

Dr. Brian Lane is the Medical Director of Urologic Oncology Research at Corewell Health West and Professor in the Department of Surgery at Michigan State University College of Human Medicine. He is a fellowship-trained urologic oncologist with a clinical practice devoted to the care of patients with kidney, prostate, bladder, and other urologic cancers. As the MUSIC KIDNEY Program Director, Dr. Lane leads the collaborative to improving care for localized renal mass patients throughout Michigan.

Craig Rogers, MD
Dr. Rogers is the Chair of Urology at Henry Ford Health System and as a fellowship trained urologic oncologist, specializes in the robotic surgery for kidney cancer and prostate cancer, among other urologic diseases. As the KIDNEY Co-Director, Dr. Rogers provides critical physician leadership and expertise for the program.

Alice Semerjian, MD

Dr. Semerjian is a Clinical Associate Professor at Michigan Medicine. She is fellowship trained in urologic oncology and specializes in the treatment of patients with kidney cancer. She serves as a Co-Director of MUSIC KIDNEY, providing physician leadership and expertise to the program.

askMUSIC Program Director
Andrew Krumm, PhD

Dr. Krumm is an Assistant Professor of Learning Health Sciences at the University of Michigan Medical School.  He specializes in learning analytics and quality improvement.  Within MUSIC, he develops predictive models and calculators for the askMUSIC website and provides expertise on the implementation of quality improvement tools.

Anna Johnson, MS

Anna Johnson is the MUSIC Program Manager, providing oversight of all program quality improvement activities and analytic work. Anna also serves as the project manager for Prostate MRI/Fusion Biopsy and prostate-related clinical trials, GMINOR and GMAJOR. She also serves as the Education Lead for the collaborative.

Corinne Labardee, MPH

Corinne Labardee has a background in public health education and promotion. She oversees the various prostate-related initiatives and personally manages projects such as askMUSIC, Minimizing Adverse Events & Short Term Recovery Optimization (MAESTRO), pain-control optimization, and Movember projects including GAP3 (Active Surveillance database) and TrueNTH Global Registry. Corinne is also responsible for ensuring the quality of the data in the MUSIC registry and local implementation of quality improvement initiatives.

Jerison Ross

Jerison manages and oversee the various ROCKS-related quality improvement and clinical trials while also monitoring the quality of the data in the MUSIC registry and assisting with local implementation of quality improvement activities.

Mahin Mirza, MPH

Mahin Mirza serves as the KIDNEY Project Manager. Mahin oversees the entire portfolio of KIDNEY-related quality improvement activities, while also directly managing prostate-related initiatives including prostate Active Surveillance and Radical Prostatectomy video review, and the ROCKS Patient-Reported Outcomes (PRO) program. 

SOUL Project Manager
Elaina Shoemaker

Elaina serves as the Stent Omission for Ureteroscopy and Lithotripsy (SOUL) Project Manager. She oversees all aspects of the randomized controlled multi-center study of stent omission for patients after uncomplicated ureteroscopy for the treatment of kidney stones.

Database Manager
Rabia Martin

Rabia Martin is the Database Manager for MUSIC. She spearheads and oversees local data abstraction, provides keen insight in the development and enhancement of the registry, provides training and education to data abstractors, and serves as a primary point of contact for data abstraction related inquiries. Rabia is also the Project Manager of the Radical Prostatectomy Patient Reported Outcomes (PRO) program.

Becki Avedisian

Becki Avedisian is the Data Abstractor for the MUSIC Coordinating Center. She spearheads local data abstraction and registry maintenance. Becki aids in the coordination of quality improvement projects among other responsibilities. 

Director of Analytic Strategy
Rod Dunn

Rod Dunn serves as the Director of Analytic Strategy for MUSIC.  Rod attended graduate school at the School of Public Health of the University of Michigan, where he earned his Master’s Degree in Biostatistics and has over 25 years of experience in the urology field.  He provides strategic guidance to the MUSIC analytic and operational teams.  He also serve as the Data-driven Best Practices Lead for the collaborative.

Stephanie Daignault-Newton, MS

Stephanie Daignault-Newton is a Biostatistician Expert for MUSIC. She provides statistical expertise and analytic support on a wide range of quality improvement, academic, and operational projects, with a primary focus on MUSIC ROCKS, as well as the program’s clinical trials.

Monica Van Til, MS 

Monica Van Til is a Statistician for MUSIC. She provides analytic support on quality improvement, academic, and operational projects, with a primary focus on the KIDNEY program.

Sabir Meah is a Statistician for MUSIC. He provides analytic support on quality improvement, academic, and operational projects.

Katie Waters

Katie assists with day-to-day operations, event planning, and data entry. She manages MUSIC's social media platforms and website and aids in the coordination of quality improvement projects, among other responsibilities.

SOUL Study Coordinator

Sabrina Clark

Sabrina serves as the study coordinator for the Stent Omission after Ureteroscopy and Lithotripsy (SOUL) Clinical Trial. She assists with day-to-day operations of the trial, consenting patients, and other responsibilities.
